$37.15 is for a round trip? or one way?
car rental would be a better choice for day trip up to 3 days
unless EVERYone wants to sleep on the way XDD

I suggest we stay 2 days or more. I will be away until Feb 18. If we are going after then, I will definetely join.

the rental car may need return before 7pm. If we go only one day, we need rent the car a day before and return it before 7. that means we should leave there a little bit earlier. otherwise, we need pay one more day’s rental fee.

Alpine Full Day Lifts(09:00 – 15:30), so no matter what we have to leave 1530. so 3 and half hour on rout back to victoria should be fine or we can leave at 1500 give us 4 hours window. if we rent a car.

What time does car rentals open?
What if we leave super early (ie. 06:00 from mayfair) so we get to ski that day as well?

Usually you can pickup the rental car the day before. so 24 hours count as one day. we can load up our stuff the night before. or a sleep-over would be fun too.

Right now,I personally go for renting a minivan and let’s leave around 05:00. and probably it’ll take about 3.5 hrs to get there. And we’ll need a bit of time for gear rental before getting on the gandola(which’s open at 9am). Few hours for skiing berfore lunch time; then ppl can either choose to keep skiing or go snow tubing. It should be fine to leave Mt. Washington around 16:00 in order to return our car at 20:00(if renting from Discount). Above is my brief idea for the one-day trip plan.

i agree with sarah’s idea, reason as follow:
1. many people want go but it’s first time for them, so one day trip is good for them, so they will know if they like it or not
2. skiing is a demanding sport, a full day skiing takes lot energy, i think many people will be on the bed for second day so more then two trip is risky since poeple may not enjoy the second day as much as the first day.
3. it’s easy to rent a car go and back, less blablabla, and it’s cheap and we dont have to call each hotel to find a place to stay.
4. we can use the day trip as trial if everyone’s feedback is good we still have time to make a two day trip this year.
